After nearly eight years of building VIBEZ Creative Arts Space, owner Chrishella Roche reached a point where keeping the business steady and growing strong required added support. Through the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s ThriveOn Loan Program, VIBEZ received the boost it needed to stay stocked with inventory, strengthen marketing, and manage payroll so the team could continue showing up for the community they serve.
With support from the loan, VIBEZ overcame key challenges related to managing payroll during slow seasons, addressing unexpected expenses, and maintaining financial stability during periods of fluctuating revenue. One of the most meaningful outcomes was the ability to invest directly in people as two new positions were created and increased hours were added for existing staff strengthening day-to-day operations and improving how the business runs behind the scenes. These improvements strengthened internal operations and gave Chrishella the capacity to focus on vision, service, and long-term sustainability.
