Mercy Housing Lakefront is one of Mercy Housing’s newest and largest business centers. In 2006, Mercy Housing Midwest merged with Lakefront Supportive Housing in Chicago to create Mercy Housing Lakefront. LRC participated in the latest, Milwaukee project by providing a $175,000 loan to develop workforce housing. Today, Mercy Housing Lakefront features supportive, single-unit occupancy housing, where people who were formerly homeless can gain the skills and support they need to stabilize and improve their lives. Supportive housing is a model that Lakefront Supportive Housing mastered and that Mercy Housing plans to spread throughout the country.
